S-Solar takes part in the Dutch Green Light Foundation

The launch of the Green Light Foundation took place on April 1 and has been a great success with approximately 200 visitors attending the kick-off. Regularly meetings and events have followed with the focus on sustainability.

The Green Light Foundation in The Hague has been set up to transfer knowledge and to initialize sustainable projects, exhibitions and activities. Including the users of “Het Magazijn” formerly a warehouse now as business center and the Municipality of the Hague, anyone can join and be part of the foundation. Last week another event took place, a symposium about Food Consumption, Reducing the need for energy in Housing projects and making private transport sustainable. Besides that there will be meetings of “De Groene Societeit”, a green business club that has been setup at the Kick-off.

“We received positive reactions on the products from S-Solar and people were impressed by the solar collector Orbit and its framing system that could integrate both solar thermal and PV as one unit”, says Jeroen Grosfeld Senior architect at KOW, Amsterdam. “I am currently in the process to get one of my clients to implement solar thermal into their building”, he continues.

The visitors represent business segments from Real-Estate Developers, Architects, Representatives of the Municipality and the government, Housing Institutes as well as interested general public.

The Green Light Foundation is housed in “Het Magazijn” (“The Warehouse"). In this recycled industrial monument in The Hague, businesses and institutions have joined hands to transfer knowledge and to initialize sustainable projects, exhibitions and activities. Green light for sustainability offers its participants space to do business and beyond. All users of “Het Magazijn” are represented in the Green light Foundation and jointly determine course and use. The center will provide a wealth of information and inspiration and is a permanent collection of sustainable forms of action. This initiative is co-established with a grant from the municipality of The Hague.
