A prestigious and important project has during 2008 delivered a solar thermal installation for the largest bank in Portugal, Caixa Geral de Despositos in Lisbon. A full scale solar collector system on the roof of the 17 floor 100 000 m2 building creates an attractive and optimal in-door climate year around. Cooling during the summer period and heating during the rest of the year while hot water is always available.The project, managed by the Austrian engineering firm Solid in cooperation with S-Solar and local firms, has created the largest solar cooling building in the world, integrated seamlessly into an ancient and historic building.Facts
